None for you!
Just another lovely factoid...the government is screwing over deaf & hard-of-hearing people.

What the hell? The decisions have no obvious criteria, and even the critera that do appear are inconsistently applied -- what exactly is the difference between Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, anyway? If the decisions made sense, and had really been made because of, say, budget cuts, without ulterior motives, then they wouldn't be afraid to reveal who made the decisions and why they were made. As it is it smacks of bias and nonsense.

Grrrr.

More & more, I find myself muttering, "I love my country but hate my government."

Maybe I should just stay here.

Deaf people are only given access to "educational, news or informational"?
Over here we're always told that the Americans with Disabilities Act is fantastic, compared to our DDA that's too weak and too late.

Passing this along to the Gallaudet Community. We'll see what we can do about this. We are, after all, the only Deaf university in the nation, and we're located in the capital itself. GLAR!

a phrase that applies to pretty much every administration ever. ;-)

But I'd like to read an article about this (as opposed to an editorial) to get a less one-sided view of what is happening.
